Why Choose the Rutgers Executive Global Program?

It is the only program that provides world-class HR leadership development culminating in a Master's Degree. Moreover, it is conducted at key strategic locations globally, providing deep leadership experience and in-depth HR executive development.

What is covered by my tuition?

Tuition and fees for the Global Executive Master's in Human Resource Leadership Program include housing, weekly in-session meals, books, and program supplies.

Who is responsible for my travel arrangements?

All students are responsible for making arrangements for their travel including applying for a visa where necessary. Global EMHRL support staff will provide direction and specific travel details for each venue.

As a Non-US Citizen, why must I have a J-1 student visa to be able to attend the final session in the United States?

Because the Global EMHRL program is a degree-granting program, the US Department of Homeland Security requires all students who are not US citizens or US permanent residents to obtain a J-1 visa to enter the United States for the US session.

If I am from a country that participates in the visa waiver program with the United States, will I still need a J-1?

Yes, the US Department of Homeland Security requires students from countries with a visa waiver to enter the US for classes on a J-1 visa. Again, this is due to the fact that the Global EMHRL is a degree-granting program.

How do I apply for a J-1 visa?

The staff of the Global EMHRL program will assist with the process for each non-US student to be able to obtain his/her J-1 visa. It is important that students submit all documents as outlined in the Global EMHRL Application, such as the original sponsor letter and original proof of health insurance form. These forms should be provided as soon as possible to the Global EMHRL Staff.

How far in advance should I make my travel arrangements?

Upon confirmation of the session dates, students should make arrangements within two to three months in advance of each session.
